Casual Market Team Member - (Driver)

Purpose Support market day operations from set up through to close, deliver a brilliant, upbeat service, protect product quality, and keep queues moving.

Key responsibilities

• Unload equipment, help transport to site, set up stall and signage neatly and safely

• Proactive, warm customer service, greet every customer, answer questions, upsell clearly

• Handle payments using POS and card reader, follow cash float procedures if needed

• Rotate stock, maintain allergen signage and price points

• Keep the stall clean, follow food safety, keep hot drinks area tidy if in use

• Track sales, flag low stock, note customer requests and feedback

• Pack down, clean equipment, complete end of day checklist, help with loading

• Drive to and from our market sites in and around London.

Essential skills and experience

• Valid Driving UK License 

• Confident people skills, calm under pressure, positive energy

• Reliability and timekeeping, able to meet early call times

• Basic numeracy and point of sale competence

• Manual handling awareness, able to lift and carry market kit safely

• Food hygiene awareness and willingness to follow procedures

• Ability to lift 15kg

Nice to have

• Prior market, retail, hospitality, or events experience

• Level 2 Food Safety or willingness to complete it with us

Availability

• Markets run on weekends and  weekdays 

• Shifts are typically between 14:00 and 22:30 but vary depending on the day.
